Become a Morgan's Sports Volunteer!
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Morgan’s Sports! At this time, we require a 20-hour minimum per year for volunteers across all Morgan’s entities to maintain active status. University volunteers require a 6-hour minimum before we will sign your paperwork.

Morgan's Sports
Morgan’s Sports provides a flexible and Ultra-Accessible™, fully-inclusive space for the community to gather and empower one another to participate in sporting activities.
Our mission is to provide safe, recreational, and competitive sports programming to develop and increase physical fitness, independence, and community.
Volunteer Roles:
- Assist with Fitness in the Park
- Down Syndrome Association (DSA) Racquets Up
- San Antonio Tennis Association (SATA)
- Military Adaptive Court Sports (MACS)
- Special Events (single-day events such as Snowball 5K, Grand Slam Wheelchair Softball Tournament, etc.)
Morgan's STRAPS
STRAPS (South Texas Regional Adaptive and Para Sports) is an athlete-centered Paralympic-style program implementing recreational and competitive adapted sports opportunities for individuals with physical disabilities and visual impairments. This includes our wounded, ill, and injured service members, as well as community adults and youth. This Morgan’s Sports program is managed by a Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist (CTRS) who seeks to promote independence, physical rehabilitation, and community engagement.

Coaching
STRAPS offers a unique opportunity for those that are interested in coaching with adaptive sports. For more information, please contact Audrey Sutterfield at Asutterfield@morgans.org.
Inclusive Sports
Inclusive Sports is an athlete-centered Special Olympic-style program implementing recreational sports opportunities. This Morgan’s Sports program is managed by a Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist (CTRS) who seeks to promote social engagement, physical activity, and cognition to promote health and wellness and to increase independence.

Individual Volunteer Application
We look for individuals who:
- Are at least 16 years of age, or 14 with a parent/guardian
- Will be a positive representative of our program
- Can work independently and unsupervised in an outdoor environment for at least 2 hours
- Are outgoing and athlete-oriented
- Have a good work ethic
Steps to become an individual volunteer:
- Visit our GivePulse page
- Click the “Join” button, which will redirect you to “Become Member”
- Select “Become Member” and complete the form*
- If you are a university volunteer needing hours, please note the university you are attending in your application
- You will receive a message with steps to register for a volunteer orientation and complete a background check
- Attend an orientation date that works best for you
- Become approved on GivePulse and sign up for shifts!
